Test the
whole trail range.
Hosted by Frontrunner, ASICS Trail Lab puts the full trail range on real Port Hills terrain — groomed singletrack and rooted, rocky climbs — new releases and next season's kit side by side. Four routes, one carpark, one crew.
Four routes.
Four shoes built for the job.
Every route is hosted and led out by one of our TeamCP coaches or an ASICS trail athlete.
Rocks & Steep Climbs
Exposed, technical ground for testing lockdown and grip when it gets steep.
Godley Head Trail
The classic out-and-back — wide, rolling coastal track for testing cushioning and ride over distance.
Winding Singletrack
Tight, twisting turns for testing agility and precision underfoot.
Long & Fast, Varied Terrain
A longer loop across everything the Port Hills throw at you — testing all-round performance at pace.
Same carpark.
Every way up the hill.
All four routes start and finish at Taylors Mistake — from steep, rocky climbs to long rolling singletrack. However you're testing, everyone meets back at the carpark for the panel and picnic.
The morning,
start to last pour.
Hosted by Frontrunner, in partnership with ASICS.
