I Have been running since I can remember but started to take it more seriously from the age of 14 getting a proper coach. This led to some local and domestic success fairly soon after winning the boys 1500m interregnal champs (nats for kids) then progressed into high school ranks and continued to pursue the sport with my big 3 accomplishments being 3rd at junior boys national schools cross country, NZ cross country rep and Secondary schools national 800m champion. All accumulating with a scholarship to run and study in the USA.
Spent 2 years in the States completing and studying before COVID-19 put an end to that early forcing me home where I finished my studies in sports management online via Massey uni while working the the frontrunner Colombo. After 3 and a half years in what I would call my second home learning the ropes in the shoe game and developing my own knowledge, I've become very confident in selling a shoe and making sure it's the right fit for a customer.
More recently I have spent 4 months overseas training and racing with some of the world's best, in particular the OAC in Boulder Colorado. A professional group with Olympic medallists ( Yared Naguse) and Helen Obiri, learning the ways they train and an insight into the shoe development side of the game and further more a stint in Andorra with Olympic silver medallist and good mate Hayden Wilde. Bringing this all back to Christchurch and NZ I have a plethora of new knowledge to share and help boost the community we are in down here. Something I love to do and hope you all enjoy
