The Deviate Nitro 3 was a fantastic shoe. For narrow-footed runners who preferred propulsion over an abundance of cushioning, it was our glass slipper for everyday training runs. Now, with the Deviate Nitro 4, PUMA is making adjustments to help amplify those winning characteristics.
The Deviate Nitro 4 aims to shed even more weight from its lightweight predecessor with a layer of their new NITROFOAM ELITE Compound offering elevated rebound and responsiveness. Returning, we find the familiar NITROFOAM compound still situated below PUMA's flexible, carbon-composite PWRPLATE. The PWRPLATE itself has evolved, gaining a new forked construction which should increase the plate's flexibility even further, cutting down on weight and offering supportive propulsion.
In the outsole, PUMAGRIP rubber offers multi-surface traction that's familiar to what we appreciated in the Deviate Nitro 3.
Across the upper, an engineered knit, reinforced with PUMA's PWRTAPE, offers a secure wrap of your foot. The shoe's rolled collar construction offers increased comfort and a better fit for your heel. Finally, the Deviate 4's toe box has been rounded and expanded for a better fit, so your toes can experience the same comfortable, yet still locked-in ride that the rest of your foot appreciates.
Liked the Deviate Nitro 3? Then you're gonna love the more flexible, upgraded Deviate Nitro 4.
