First Look

Third times a charm? Initially this seems to be the case. The word that jumps to mind with he vista 3 is a Bounce, and lots of it! No matter where you land on this shoe it's going to jump you into the next stride with ease. Mizuno have developed one of the most energetic and cushioned midsoles in the industry and they haven't skimped on it with the vista 3. They have addressed issues with the previous model and tweaked the new iteration.

The Fit

If comfort is your primary concern for an upper, the Neo Vista 3’s bootie design is hard to beat. It features pull tabs on both the heel counter and the top of the lace chain, ensuring easy entry. The pull tab at the top also serves as a cushion for the lace knot, a clever and effective design that helps reduce weight. Additionally, its rubberized surface keeps the laces securely in place.
breathability may be the topic in question.

The mesh is on the thicker side which could hold heat on the warmer summer days. However, the perforations may allow ample airflow, while its thickness helps prevent lace bite on the top of the foot. Achieving lockdown can be difficult if you have a narrow foot sock like upper is stretchy and tends to fit a standard to wider foot best.

The Feel

Mizuno’s Enerzy Nxt foam delivers non stop energy return and a satisfying pop, no matter where your foot lands on the midsole. With 44.5mm of cushioning in the heel and an 8mm drop, comfort is consistent throughout. Heel strikers experience a plush sink into the foam before the Wave Plate engages to smoothly roll the foot forward. Midfoot strikers benefit from both the cushioning foam and the stability of the Wave Plate. Forefoot strikers enjoy the soft foam combined with the Wave Plate’s Smooth Speed Assist, enhancing their propulsion.

Function

The Wave Plate is doing real work, delivering a genuine spring-forward, propulsive energy as your foot rolls through the gait cycle. This is the kind of speedy sensation you want from a super trainer. What people will appreciate is that the drive isn’t overwhelming, It's propulsive but not over aggressive. Lateral movements remained stable without feeling wobbly. The plate is made of glass fiber-reinforced nylon rather than carbon, which keeps the flex profile compliant enough to maintain control without becoming too soft or mushy.
The Verdict

Summary

The Mizuno Neo Vista 3 successfully solidifies its place in the "super trainer" category by striking a masterful balance between max-cushion comfort and energetic performance. Thanks to the combination of plush Enerzy Nxt foam and a flexible Wave Plate, it delivers a smooth, springy forward roll that works beautifully for all landing styles without feeling unstable.
While the sock-like upper is incredibly comfortable, its thicker material might run warm, and the stretchy fit is better suited for standard-to-wide feet rather than narrow ones. Overall, Mizuno has delivered a fun, stable, and incredibly lively shoe that makes running feel effortless.
