The biggest update is the introduction of incrediLUX, an ATPU-based midsole foam that replaces the PWRRUN PB used in the Triumph 23.

First Look

The Saucony Triumph has established itself as a premium daily trainer for runners seeking plush cushioning, a smooth ride, and the versatility to handle everyday mileage. With the launch of the Saucony Triumph 24, the key question is whether Saucony can preserve the shoe’s comfort-focused identity while delivering a more modern, efficient, and enjoyable running experience.

The Feel

In terms of performance, I expect the Triumph 24 to be particularly well suited to: Easy and recovery runs, where comfort takes priority, Long aerobic runs, where consistent cushioning is essential, Everyday mileage, especially during higher-volume training weeks, Steady-paced runs, where some energy return is desirable without needing a dedicated speed shoe.
Its main strength is its versatility within the comfort-focused running category. While it is not designed as a specialist racing shoe, my initial impressions suggest it has more pace potential than the traditional image of a heavy, cumbersome daily trainer might suggest.

Function

Saucony has increased the amount of cushioning by 11% while reducing the shoe’s weight by approximately 10 grams.
On paper, these changes look promising, but the more interesting development is the shift in the shoe’s overall ride. The Triumph 23 offered an energetic, spring-driven feel, whereas the Triumph 24 moves towards a softer, more protective experience without sacrificing responsiveness. My initial impressions support this change, with a noticeable sense of liveliness and spring underfoot. The updated midsole is likely to be the main reason to consider the new model, particularly for runners who want substantial cushioning without the sluggish sensation that can accompany some max-cushioned trainers.
The Verdict

Summary

Saucony has retained its premium comfort approach through an engineered mesh upper, a padded tongue, and a cushioned heel collar. These features are designed to provide a secure midfoot hold without compromising comfort over longer distances. I found the fit accommodating, with useful room in the forefoot and effective heel lockdown. However, fit preferences vary between runners, and those who require a particularly wide toe box should try the shoe on before making a purchase.
Overall, I believe this update is one that will be welcomed by many! Its increased versatility
